Qats - Playing quantum mechanics

Learning quantum mechanics while playing is now possible

Dear reader,

First, I should congratulate you, you are probably one of the very few to read this blog post. Second, it will be a very short blog post, so be reassured, it will not take much of your time.

This one is dedicated to a board game that 4 PhD students created in 2022, and as you can guess, I am one of those. In short, the idea is to propose a board game in which the rules are inspired by quantum mechanics, but in which no knowledge of physics is required. How is it done so ? Simply by setting the rules of the game to be... The rules of quantum mechanics (potentially a little simplified).

The game is composed of 4 dice, two packs of cards, a board, and the rules. At the moment, there are 5 games produced, but we are planning to make more, with new designs maybe coming up soon. The detailed rules of the game can be found on the Instagram page ! The game also goes to some events, and you can follow the updates on Instagram, if something happens, you will likely see it there.

If these previous set of words resonated in you, or if you are interested to know more about the game, you can either contact us on Instagram or by mail qats-contact (at) proton (dot) me.
